Take a walk at Xipu, shoot some interesting objects (probably abandoned, out of tune, domestic, etc.) based on my observation within the area and write from the first perspective a memory-piece style story for each of them.

Like what Calvino intended to show us in his 「Invisible City」: 「Spaces become cultural symbols through imagination. Human ideas are capable of the construction of worlds」. What Calvino built are cities beyond the space-time vision, they are lands of 「elsewhere」. Since nowadays, the 「elsewhere」 no longer exists, the whole world is homogenised. This kind of imagination in the novel which interlace cities of the past and the future allows comparisons, questions and debates about the contemporary cities in nowadays. In this case, I tried to seize the potentially existing 「fantasticality」 in the objects that were placed in the city context. Through imagination, such places/objects can be inlaid within the world. The photos and writings will finally be combined into a diary of this place.
